Residential roofing services for the Wasatch Front

Yaxmani Waldo Roofing LLC serves homes from our base at 2837 W 5400 S in Taylorsville. Across the Wasatch Front we hang shingles, weld and cut flashing, hang seamless gutters, balance attic ventilation and document storm claims. Every service below is a course in the same honest job file, backed by a crew that keeps the whole roof system in view, not just the layer on top.

Service Roster

Six roofing disciplines, one clear file

The list below is how we break work into readable courses. Each can stand alone or combine into a single full-scale replacement job.

Service 1

Storm Damage Inspections

When hail the size of quarters or a canyon windline crosses the valley, we are out the same day. A storm damage inspection is not a walk and a shrug. We grid the roof by slope and course, use a moisture meter at suspect deck bays, and photograph each bruise, crease and granule-lost tab with a date chip in frame. Our reports separate genuine wind and hail damage from normal aging, so you do not file a weak claim or get talked into a roof that does not need one.

After the field read we produce a written folder with an elevation map, a per-slope loss estimate and clear photos you can hand to an adjuster. Where the carrier requires a second look, we meet them on site, walk the chalked zones together and defend the scope with the same file. If the roof survives the storm without real damage, we tell you straight and hand you a watch list of small items to schedule later.

Asphalt Shingle Replacement

Architectural asphalt shingle is the backbone of most Utah neighborhoods, so replacement is our most requested craft. The small side of the work is a torn tab, a lifted corner, or a sealed-but-blistered ridge cap that needs one clean square patched in without a visible seam. The large side is a full re-roof that starts with a strip to the deck, continues with new underlayment and drip edge, and finishes with racked courses straight off a true starter line.

On full replacements we never paper over rotten sheathing. Each deck bay gets a board read during the strip, visible rot is sized and replaced with matching plywood through dry, and then the membrane system goes down tight along eaves and valleys. The finished field drains clean, seals around every chimney and pipe boot, and carries a full workmanship warranty so the next owner reads that file with confidence.

Metal Panel and Flashing Work

Slopes that face the hardest sun, the steepest pitch or the heaviest snow often do best in metal. We install both standing seam and screw-down panel systems, seam them for clean expansion and contraction, fasten them with matched clips and color-true screws, and set ridge caps and rake trims that shed water rather than fight it. Because metal moves, every detail is a precision exercise, and our installers cut each panel to the roof rather than forcing the roof to the panel.

Just as important is flashing: step flashing at sidewalls, counter flashing at chimneys, valley liners, gable trim and the boots around vents. A single cold seam or a lip aimed wrong can drip for years behind finished walls. We refit or replace failing flashings as part of regular repair work and can re-run a whole valley in copper-style patina-coated metal so the seam reads as clean as the day it left the shop.

Service 4

Gutter and Downspout Systems

A roof tells only half the water story; the other half is what happens at the fascia and foundation. We fabricate and hang seamless aluminum gutters sized to each roofline so seams do not multiply into leak points, and we pitch every run so the flow finds the outlet instead of pooling behind the front strap. Downspouts get solid extensions that carry storm water well past the wall footings, which keeps basements and crawl spaces dry through spring melt.

Our gutter work also covers repairs: re-sloping a sagging run, sealing a drip at a joint, replacing a crushed wall-end, and adding leaf guards where the neighborhood maples shed on schedule. When we hang gutters alongside a roof replacement, we match the schedule so the downspouts tuck cleanly behind the new drip edge and the whole system drains in one coordinated line.

Ventilation and Ice-Shield Upgrades

Hidden above your ceiling, a balanced attic is the difference between a roof that breathes and one that cooks. We open every ventilation project with an attic walk: measuring intake at the soffits, exhaust at the ridge and gables, and airflow across the insulation plane. Then we add balanced intake and ridge vent so summer heat and winter moisture pull through the whole structure instead of pooling at one static vent.

Along the cold-air eaves and steep valleys we install ice and water shield membrane, the self-sealing layer that backs up ordinary shingle coverage when the snow line turns to ice. It is the most cost-effective upgrade you can make before a hard Utah winter, and it quietly protects the very edge of the roof deck where most interior leaks announce themselves only later. Ventilation plus shielding is our standard safeguard on every full replacement we build.

Insurance Claim Documentation

The photo file is half the claim. We shoot storm scenes in a method the carriers respect: a wide shot of each slope taken from the same ground angle, a medium shot closing on the bruise and crease pattern, and a tight macro of the granule loss with a scale and a date marker in frame. Every set is labeled by slope, course and measured distance, and laid into a printable sheet you can email to your adjuster the same day.

We also make the carrier meeting go smoothly. Our crews accompany you or your agent on the site visit, walk through the same chalked damage zones, and keep the conversation in the language of the file: three bays of hail bruise on the west face, one cheek of wind-lifted field at the north rake, and the valley where the old flashing opened. Clear, documented, and fair to both sides is how we keep the claim rolling instead of stalling.

How a Job Unfolds

What you will see from first call to final sweep

A clear job file keeps surprises out of the process. Here is the order we follow on every project, large or small.

Call and road map. You reach us by phone at +15678983713 or by email at text@yaxmaniwaldo.mom. We listen to the concern, set a time, and map your roof on our calendar with room to run the whole job, not just one first visit.

Open the file. An estimator climbs and reads the roof course by course, tests the deck, and photographs everything. You get a written scope with clear pricing and a timeline you can hold.

Groundwork. We protect the yard with tarps and board your gutters and walkways, then start the strip with a crew that leaves the site cleaner than it was.

The build. Deck repairs come first, then membranes and flashing, then the shingle or metal field, and finally the ridge, vents, gutters and trim that tie the roof together.

The magnetic sweep. Before we leave, every crew member walks the perimeter with a magnetic bar, loads scrap and nails, and we do a full final walk-through with you, logging every last item on the sheet.

Close the file. You receive a clean summary, warranty details in writing, and the claim paperwork if it applies, so the story of your roof stays straight in one place.
